The things we do to visit family for the holidays! :) This drive keeps making me think of the song I'll Be Home For Christmas. No matter what the travel conditions/arrangements are we will make it home for Christmas!
I'll Be Home For Christmas
I'm dreamin' tonight of a place I love
Even more then I usually do
And although I know it's a long road back
I promise you...
I'll be home for Christmas
You can count on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents under the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light beams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light beams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
If only in my dreams
And although I know it's a long road back
I promise you...
I'll be home for Christmas
You can count on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents under the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light beams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light beams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
If only in my dreams
Haha!! YAY!!!

Travel safely! My husband usually drive from Colorado back to Illinois to see my fam. This year we're going after Christmas and we've decided to fly. I actually really enjoy traveling, whether it be by plane or road trip. Have fun on your trip! I'm sure it will be interesting with a full vehicle! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip and a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Christmas, Elle! Road trips are so much fun.
ReplyDeleteMy family is 10,000 miles away, since they're in Ohio, U.S.A. and I'm in Adelaide, Australia. So we "visited" each other via web cam. I'm so grateful for the wonders of modern technology!
Thanks so much for the safe wishes! We made it there and back safely...and a little cramped! :)
ReplyDeleteKate, I think I am following your example next year and flying! Either that or convincing everyone to come down and do Christmas in TX!
Wow, Kim, that is a hard being so far away from family! Glad you were able to "hang out" via web cam!
