Bohemian Romance

I came across Free People's bohemian lookbook this afternoon and felt inspired to share it.
While I generally do not dress with this much bohemian influence, I do enjoy touches of bohemian flare here and there.
I really liked a lot of things about the looks in these photographs taken by Guy Aroch.

To start with, I just love Hungarian model, Eniko Mihalik's hair here. I wish I could get my hair to look like that!
Second, I am loving these hats! I am so glad to see that wide brimmed hats are still in this season.
Oh, and I am in LOVE with that wool looking wrap in the right photograph below.
This shaw is fabulous! I would love to have this wrap to just lounge around my house in!
I also love these pheasant dresses with the flat grungy boots. Not to mention I love the blue wrap in the right photograph.

What about you? Are you into these bohemian looks?

Thankful Thursday

With Thanksgiving in a week I've been thinking about what I have to be thankful for. There is so much I take for granted.
I'm thankful that my husband is trying to be so helpful in this move by cleaning and doing whatever else he can! (I haven't asked him to do much packing...cause, frankly, I don't know what would end up in what box!) But he is helping out in so many other ways! It's so funny cause every time I tape up a box he is right there waiting to take it to the garage as soon as I finish labeling it! And if he didn't see me label it all I have to do is leave it in the door way and it is gone shortly!

I could be sitting alone with no family on Thanksgiving day, but instead I get to spend Thanksgiving with my husband, two sisters, brother-in-law, along with others!
I'm thankful that I have a wonderful older sis who knows HOW to cook a turkey so that I don't have to! (Sorry, but raw turkeys gross me out! I still can't bring myself to cook one!)
I'm thankful that my younger sis and her husband are moving to Texas just in time to have Thanksgiving with us!

Now the only thing I'm sad about at the moment is that I wont get to decorate my table like one of these fabulous Thanksgiving tables!

I love this idea of using a leaf for a name tag!

The pumpkins hanging on the branches is such a cute and easy idea!

Love this leaf cutout idea! I wonder how hard it would be to try!
How do you plan on decorating your table? Do you go all out or just keep it simple?

Fabulous Fall Style

The weather is finally starting to cool down here in Texas.  You can actually wake up to cool crisp mornings now. (Although, that could always change tomorrow.) Waking up to the chill in the air is finally putting me in the mood to pull out my fall apparel. It also makes me want to shop for some fabulous new fall things!  These photos are inspiring me for the Fall season this year. I know I am behind everyone else who is already way into wearing fall pieces, but forgive me since I live so far south!

I'm kind of loving this sweater/jacket!
Between the scarf, cape, and green I can't get enough of this pic!
This isn't really my style but I love her floppy hat, cute green clutch, and fabulous gloves!

Love the wide leg look, and of course the reptile print!
I still haven't gotten the black ankle boots I've been looking for! Hopefully soon I can do some serious shopping in search of the perfect pair!

I adore the yellow and green combo Leighton is wearing here!
I love these sheer top & poncho from Threadsence

What are your favorite fall items/trends/designers/retailers this year?

DIY: Fall Decor

I've been busy this weekend creating fall decorations! I made a fall wreath for my front door, fall floral arrangements for window sill, and pretty pumpkins for my counter tops! Here are the results!

Front Door Wreath!
You'll need: Wire wreath, poly mesh, ribbon, and accessories.
Start scrunching and twisting branches...
Add whatever kind of accents you want! I used feathers and leaves.
And voila! You have a beautiful wreath!
One of four lovely little fall arrangements for my kitchen window!
I decided to spray paint my pumpkins gold & sprinkle with glitter!
Now they make my counter tops sparkle and shine!
So what do you think of my little projects this weekend? Worth the effort? I love the satisfaction in completing these little DIY projects!

Festive Autumn Shopping

So today my dear wonderful husband dropped me off to do some autumn shopping while he went to go run some errands of his own! Needless to say, he finished his errands wayyyy before I was even halfway through the fall section!
Oh, how I love to decorate for fall. The colors are so warm and festive! I was having such a hard time picking out decorations though because I loved it all!  Hopefully I will get all my wonderful items put up over the weekend and have some beautiful pictures to share with you by Monday. In the mean time here are some great ideas I found online for Autumn decorating!

Great Centerpieces:
Love the different decorative heights in both the above/below pictures!
 Fall can still be colorful!
 Rustic Autumn Table

An elegant vintage take on the whole pumkin painting!

Found this gorgeous wreath on Etsy and I think I am going to attempt one similar!
Love the garland around the door and the pumkins everywhere!

 Fall Entertaining:

This is a great way to create name tag holders!
I love this take on a fall table setting! The blue & brown combination is a favorite of mine! The feathers are a great touch as well!

What a great way to serve butternut squash or pumkin soup...

...or apple cider!

What is your favorite way to decorate for fall? Do you like lots of bold Autumn color or more quiet rustic elements? Do you put lots of decorations on your doorsteps or not so much? Would love to know what your house looks like for Fall!
