A Night at the Oscars

It has been a while since I have had a themed girl's night, so I felt the need to start March off right! 

I thought, "Why not have an Oscar's theme night?!?"

Take a look and tell me how you think I did!

All my VIP guests had a red carpet entrance!

As they arrived I had a guest book waiting for them to sign with little miniature Oscars!

Oh...and our butler (Mr. Equis) was also waiting to great the guests!

 

Mr. Equis was nice enough to serve our drinks for the evening!

(FYI: found this guy at a garage sale and cut out the Dos Equis from his hand and replaced it with a cocktail!) 

 I made little gold drink tags so that guests could pick the tag that represented them (ie: best song, best director, best actress, most likely to trip, best dressed, etc)

  An Oscars night wouldn't be complete without photos on the red carpet!

 

 Beth El and I accept our Oscars for "Best Song" and "Best Hostess"!

We would like to thank the Academy!

And of course I had to make Oscar Bingo cards for all the guests to entertain us as we view the Academy Awards!

 I would say the evening was a success and a lot of fun!

March Memories

I would like to sum up my March through Instagram as I did no actual posts in March. 

There really is no excuse for that other than I have been to lazy to upload and edit all my photos!

So what did I do in the month of March?
Take a look....

I made a fresh spring wreath for my front door.

Bought a Pier 1 chair for my living room.

 

Had a western themed girl's night.

I even made my own saloon doors for guests to enter through!

Bought a new car...2012 Ford Escape. Now I just need a name for it!

 It was mandatory that it had a moon roof!

 Made a list of what I am 'lucky' to have in my life...

Celebrated St. Patricks Day...

Saw Jake Owen in concert at the Houston Rodeo.

 Planted flowers in my garden...

Found my lizard friend chilling on my Oleander bushes...

 Planted a little succulent garden in my half bathroom...

 

 Surprised a best friend with an I Love Lucy/50's housewife themed birthday dinner!

 

 We surprised her with a scene right out of I Love Lucy...grape stomping!

 Hung out with my sis at Schlitterbaun Water Park for the day and ate funnel cake! 

Yum! (Don't judge)

All in all even thought it was a busy month, it was a fun month!

Girl's Night!

Well I was going to give you the 2nd half post of my fabulous weekend at the lake last week, but then I had a FABULOUS girl's night last night!

I can't wait to show you the pics of us being ridiculous! :)

Our Theme: Old Hollywood Glam Showgirls

The Movie: Gentleman Prefer Blondes

Location: My house

Scene Setup: A crazy group of girls that love to dress up, and make everything a theme!

 I made Sparkling Nuvo Cosmos for all the girls! They are always a hit! 

(Sparkling Nuvo, Gran Marnier, & a splash of lime!)

 

We can't watch Marilyn without getting all dolled up...

 

 We wrote Marilyn quotes on mirrors with kisses to add to the theme!

 Check out all these beautiful dolled up ladies!

 Teaching my chicas how to "booty tooch"! 

(If you watch America's Next Top Model you would know what I am talking about!)

We had so much fun!  There is never a dull moment with these girls!

 Ummm...we are ever so classy....!
