Summer Madness

Wow...is June really over? I don't even know where it went!
I have been so busy with events, birthdays, company, remodeling, yard work, traveling, etc!
Thankfully through all this madness I have had some wonderful time with some very sweet (and crazy) friends!
I've been enjoying some good friend time as my dear friend, Madelyn, came for a visit!

I'll get some better photos up this month of all the fabulous events I've been throwing!

P.S.
Now that Google Followers is gone I am trying to import all my favorite blogs into bloglovin.
(I should have done this sooner to make it easier on myself, but summer plans have kept me pretty busy!) I would love for you to follow me through Bloglovin. If you are interested here is the link!

A Summer Social

Wow, April and May have been busy for me!
I've had so many fun little events going on that I haven't had a moment to blog!

My last blog I mentioned I was planning a summer garden party that my two bffs and I auctioned off at a charity event.  The auction item was a "garden party" for 10 guests with food, decorations, and musical entertainment provided.
Well due to the Texas heat and humidity the garden party was really out of the question.
So instead we turned it into a
"Summer Afternoon Social"
 Check out our handy work!

My fabulous Hydrangea arrangements...

 The Buffet Table
(My girlfriends and I made all the food!)

The Dessert Table

After a wonderful lunch these two lovely musicians entertained us with the piano and cello.

All in all I would say everything turned out fabulous, despite the garden party being moved indoors!

A Summer Garden Party

I've been busy planning a summer garden party we auctioned off for a charity event.
I've been so inspired by some of these photographs I found on Pinterest.

Now, who wants to have a garden party?

March Memories

I would like to sum up my March through Instagram as I did no actual posts in March.
There really is no excuse for that other than I have been to lazy to upload and edit all my photos!

So what did I do in the month of March?
Take a look....

I made a fresh spring wreath for my front door.

Bought a Pier 1 chair for my living room.

Had a western themed girl's night.
I even made my own saloon doors for guests to enter through!

Bought a new car...2012 Ford Escape. Now I just need a name for it!
It was mandatory that it had a moon roof!

Made a list of what I am 'lucky' to have in my life...

Celebrated St. Patricks Day...

Saw Jake Owen in concert at the Houston Rodeo.

 Planted flowers in my garden...

Found my lizard friend chilling on my Oleander bushes...

Planted a little succulent garden in my half bathroom...

Surprised a best friend with an I Love Lucy/50's housewife themed birthday dinner!

We surprised her with a scene right out of I Love Lucy...grape stomping!

Hung out with my sis at Schlitterbaun Water Park for the day and ate funnel cake!
Yum! (Don't judge)

All in all even thought it was a busy month, it was a fun month!
(More photos from the themed parties will come later!)

End of Summer...

Every year a group of us spend Labor Day weekend at a beach house to end the summer with a bang.  It is bittersweet knowing summer is coming to an end, but the weekend is always lots of fun!
This year we had about 30+ people in one huge beach house.  The house was right on the beach!

So of course the first thing we did was head down to the beach at sunset to take a pic!
The two girls that I nanny were also there. They are the cutest girls on earth, and were a lot of fun to play at the beach with!

Our first full day at the beach was rather cloudy so we took more pics than laying out!
Me and my "bestie", Beth El!

Later that night we went
DISCO CRAB HUNTING!!
If you have never done this you should! All you need are some colorful flashlights, disco music, a net, and a group of fun people! :)
Unfortunately I have no actual photos of the the hunt.  I do, however, have pics of us taking the kids down to the beach to let the crabs go free the next morning!

Poor little crabs were so disoriented...we shouldn't have kept them overnight. :(
After releasing the poor crabs my sis and I decided to take advantage to more photo opportunities!
Then off to the beach we went...along with the little ones!

I promise I wasn't playing in the sand by myself...the girls were building sand castles with me...not sure what happened to them in this picture! Haha!
I got a tad burnt after playing out in the sun all day!
A few final photos as we prepare to leave Monday morning. :(

How did you spend your Labor Day weekend?
