Tropic Chic

I desperately need your opinion!

I want to show you this fabulous dress I bought! I fell in love with it at the store.

I got it to wear at my husband's Turning Blue Basic Training ceremony.

The only problem is that my husband is not a huge fan of maxi dresses.

(Apparently not enough leg showing for him I guess!)

So, as you can see, I am torn.

Do you think this dress is stunning enough on me to wear it regardless?

This is slightly amusing and awkward...but I have to make sure I look good because I am apparently up for nomination as best looking wife/girlfriend in the company!

My husband wants that bragging right!

So I need your honest opinion!

Is the dress to 'beach resort/loud' to wear normally?

Beautifully Feminine

I feel like so many of the fashion trends right now are messy and chaotic. I'm tired of all the loud prints, mix-matched colors and so on. Don't get me wrong, I do love color...I just feel overwhelmed with the styles at the moment and want to take a moment to step back and enjoy the more feminine styles. I love these photos and the soft, feminine fashion they portray!

What is it that makes girls want to dress up whether young or old? It is in our blood! No matter what age, we love beautiful flowing gowns, and feeling like a princess. I love being a girl!

Bright Done Right!

So I am doing my usual daily polyvore browsing, and came across this set. I am not normally a fan of bright pants (whether they are in or not), but this was styled so nicely I couldn't resist sharing! I want to go out and buy the whole set!
I know, I know...bold colors, prints, and all sorts of things are the trend at the moment. However, I generally go for more subtle pops of color, and this I love!
