Hubby & Me

So today I asked a friend if she would snap a couple of photos of my husband and me to use for a couple of different things. We need a church directory pic, a christmas card pic, and anniversary pics! So I thought I would share a few of the pics with you!

This is about the closest thing I can get to a smile with my husband!
I think I am going to use this pic for our church directory.
I just touched up my hair yesterday with a different shade of red. I am liking the results, but what do you think? It definitely doesn't look this red inside.
I loved this one if only Justin wasn't scowling so much! In his defense the sun was directly in our eyes!
Finally! He smiles! But now I am hunched over laughing at whatever he said! Can't win!

I just bought that dress from TJ Maxx. Isn't the color gorgeous!? The shoes I bought awhile ago from Ross.  Hey, I'm all about discount shopping!

Oh Oscar!

Did anyone else fall in love with the Oscar de la Renta dress Blair was wearing tonight? As soon as she came down the stairs I was dying! Sadly I couldn't find any good photos of her in it, but here is what I could find!

Afternoon Garden Delights

Well so much for getting all my fall decorations up! Instead I spent the afternoon outside potting flowers. At least I got something accomplished! I guess I will just have to decorate tomorrow. In the mean time here are some photos of my handiwork outside...

I can't remember what these are called, but I love how colorful they are!
 Palm, Croton, & Kalanchoe
Soon these will be edible lemons!
I just bought these lovely yellow mums today!
I love how bright and cheery they are! (Those are my dirty feet in the picture!)
I love how the sunlight peaks through my trees in the afternoon...so beautiful.

Do you keep a flower garden? Mine are all in pots because I am still renting, but someday I want a beautiful large garden to enjoy my afternoons in!

Festive Autumn Shopping

So today my dear wonderful husband dropped me off to do some autumn shopping while he went to go run some errands of his own! Needless to say, he finished his errands wayyyy before I was even halfway through the fall section!
Oh, how I love to decorate for fall. The colors are so warm and festive! I was having such a hard time picking out decorations though because I loved it all!  Hopefully I will get all my wonderful items put up over the weekend and have some beautiful pictures to share with you by Monday. In the mean time here are some great ideas I found online for Autumn decorating!

Great Centerpieces:
Love the different decorative heights in both the above/below pictures!
 Fall can still be colorful!
 Rustic Autumn Table

An elegant vintage take on the whole pumkin painting!
Found this gorgeous wreath on Etsy and I think I am going to attempt one similar!
Love the garland around the door and the pumkins everywhere!

 Fall Entertaining:
This is a great way to create name tag holders!
I love this take on a fall table setting! The blue & brown combination is a favorite of mine! The feathers are a great touch as well!
What a great way to serve butternut squash or pumkin soup...
...or apple cider!

What is your favorite way to decorate for fall? Do you like lots of bold Autumn color or more quiet rustic elements? Do you put lots of decorations on your doorsteps or not so much? Would love to know what your house looks like for Fall!

CW Addictions

Ok...I am ashamed to admit my addiction to all of these teenage dramas...but I can't help it! They pull me in!  My DVR this summer was so empty, with nothing to watch. Well not anymore! It is going into overdrive trying to keep up with all the new shows starting this month!

Some of my faves returning this season:

And some new ones that look interesting:

And then here are a few of my non-CW addictions! (I know...you are probably thinking how on earth do I have time to watch all of these! Well that is what is so wonderful about a DVR!)
Modern Family has to be one of the funniest shows on TV!

I just watched New Girl's premier last night and thought it was hysterical! I will definitely be watching this one regularly!

And coming later this Fall is a new Fox drama called Terra Nova that I hope will replace Lost.

Ok, so now that you know my addictions please don't judge! What can I say...I love sci-fi, action, drama, comedy, and anything else you can think of!

Hello September!

Falling for Fall...now only if it would get cold enough here in Texas so that I could wear some of my fabulous boots!

Elegance at the Emmy's!

So did any of you watch the Emmy's last night? Did you have any love/hate relationships with any of the dresses? Here were some of my LOVES!

Isn't Nina Dobrev stunning in Donna Karen?! I think this was my favorite look of the night!

Apparently red was all the rage on the red carpet last night!
I thought Sofia Vergara was stunning in her red dress by Vera Wang last night!
And take a look at these earrings! Some might think they are to much but I LOVED them!

I fell in love with how feminine and soft this dress was but I really didn't see it mentioned on any of the best dressed lists...but I still love it!
Aubrey Plaza in Juan Carlos Obando

I thought Maria Bello looked beautiful in this dress by Kaufman Franco!

Wish I had a figure to wear this like Evan Rachel Wood in Elie Saab!

Emily Blunt looked fabulous in Elie Saab!

And last but not least is Lea Michele in Marchesa. Another red stunner!

Lovely in Lace

I want to buy more lace and crochet pieces for the fall. It is so feminine and lovely. How can you not love lace? There are so many ways to wear it.

I love the cowboy boots with the cream lace!

My next shopping mission is to find a beautiful lace shawl like this one!
